Eurythmics — Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)
What is the fabric of dreams? (no, I m not talking here about the things we dream at night, those are just reflections of our subconscious) I m talking about the vision people have for themselves…those things we want to achieve/have/ do, that are momentarily out of reach. In my opinion, it s very important that we allow ourselves to dream, let our mind roam free…think that everything is possible as long as we want it hard enough. Want would we be without our dreams? We would stay the same, be content with everything we are without trying to be better, to achieve more. Dreams help push us, make us try harder to get want we want and in the end, if we believe enough we ll get there. But there s a catch: we need to be careful and not get lost in our dreams. They can be so tempting that when real life gets hard, it s easier to go away in that imaginary realm, where everything is good and just turn everything off. So, what is the fabric of dreams? In my humble opinion it s imagination, the only thing that can limit your mind and dreams…so don t let it stop you! Be courageous! Dare to dream!!

In week-end ma uitam pe VH1 la un top al celor mai bune melodii din filme si la un moment dat a aparut aceasta melodie de la Girls Aloud de pe coloana sonora a unuia din filmele mele prefereate: Love Actually. This song/movie got me thinking… mai exista reguli in acest joc al curtarii dintre barbati si femei? Acum ceva vreme , se mergea pe principiul ca barbatii trebuie sa convinga femeia ca merita atentia ei. Flori, iesiri in oras, insistente peste insistente si la sfarsit…daca femeia decidea ca merita poate il alegea pe el. Poate… In ziua de azi ( maica :P), mi se pare ca nu mai exista reguli sau cel putin sunt foarte neclare. Barbati care asteapta sa fie curtati, femei care chiar alearga dupa ei s.a.m.d O fi bine? Louis Armstrong — What A Wonderful World
Aceasta este ultima zi cand sunt in Franta, asa ca, fiind si randul meu la Song of the Day, mi-am luat frumos laptopul, m-am asezat la o cafenea cu WiFi din centrul vechi si am inceput sa cuget…oare ce sa scriu? E prea devreme ca sa functionez corect asa ca imi comand o cafea si o pain au chocolat si ma uit in jur. Deja e plin de oameni: francezi care se duc la serviciu, oameni mai in varsta care se plimba prin piata de flori, turisti care ori fac poze ori se indreapta catre plaja pietroasa a Nisei. Americanii sunt extrem de galagiosi si plini de viata, chinezii se plimba cu tabletele in mana si am impresia ca ei vad ceea ce este in jurul lor doar prin intermediul acelui ecran de ….. ( fill in brand-ul preferat), iar francezii sunt doar resemnati ca orasul lor…nu mai este tocmai al lor, ci este cotropit de o mare de straini. Si tocmai asta este superb, cum in ciuda tuturor diferentelor, pe acest fundal de stradute inguste, pline de cafenele si magazine care vand lavanda coexistam armonios. Nu conteaza ca esti arab, evreu, crestin, alb sau negru. Nu conteaza politica sau conflictele inventate de liderii lumii. Aici toata lumea se bucura de Nisa si de relaxarea care este parca intiparita in sufletul acestui oras.

Cu ei ai chiulit de la ora de istorie si ati dat nas in nas cu profesorul pe scara. Ati mers cu personalul 6 ore pana in Costinesti si nu va dadeati seama cand a trecut timpul. Ati fost dati afara de la ora de engleza pt ca faceati mishto de profa si ati jucat NFS in ora de germana. Cu ei era intotdeauna o competitie la mate si tot cu ei te jucai Bubble Trouble in pod la informatica. Zi, cine te-a invatat sa joci ping-pong? Prietenii adevarati te-au vazut in momentele tale cele mai bune si nu si-au intors spatele cand ai avut momentele cele mai rele. Ei nu sunt alaturi de tine doar cand le convine si stiu ca uneori … cand spui “sunt bine” … nu e chiar asa. Cu ei ai ras, ai plans, te-ai bucurat si ai suferit. Pentru oamenii astia ti-ai da viata, pentru ca ei stau cu tine cand esti la rascruce.
