Alternosfera — Wamitirile
O trupa din Moldova care suna bine – Alternosfera, cu melodia “Wamitirile”. Versurile ridica intrebari metafizice: ce au avut cu bietul om? de ce l-au batut? de ce cu picioarele? cu cat l-au vandut? ce naiba sunt alea “lăcaţile”? etc. Lasand gluma la o parte, melodia chiar te prinde. A venit momentul pentru continuarea povestii de saptamana trecuta… Nu prea am ascultat Therapy?, dar aceasta melodie are ceva aparte: un sound intunecat, un videoclip cel putin ciudat (in sensul bun), versuri interesante si nu in ultimul rand imi place figura solistului, care chiar arata a criminal in serie. My Dying Bride — Black God
Nu stiu cum sa incep astazi… Cred ca mai intai o sa-i multumesc lui Adi pentru ideea lui cu acest blog pentru ca astfel am reascultat piese care mi-au patruns in suflet (da, chiar si Hades are suflet). Cand am reascultat piesa de azi, am simtit ceva uitat, ca o poveste de demult, “the touch of velvet rubbed against my soul”, vorba poetului… PS: Tot de pe acest album My Dying Bride (“Turn Loose the Swans”, 1993) va recomand “ Sear Me MCMXCII ”, insa era prea lunga si nu vreau sa plictisesc. Versurile sunt poezie in cea mai pura forma.

The end is nigh… … or not.

Din motive tehnice nu am putut posta saptamana trecuta, dar acum m-am intors cu un cantec “electrizant”: Green Jelly – “Electric”. L-am ascultat prima data pe o caseta de la bunul nostru prieten Mihai (avea un caseton antic si in timp ce ascultam, ne jucam Mortal Kombat, sau sah, sau Go), pe la 1900 si ceva. Era o nebunie de album, dar mi-a placut la nebunie. Pe acest album este si celebra melodie cu cei 3 purcelusi + cea cu “Mr. Snaky” 😉 sau cu Shitman. (“Poo-hoo, Poo-hoo, I got something on my shoe”). So, here it is: PS Shame on you Capone!

Six Feet Under — 420
Dragii mei, (hmm, de ce oare vorbesc la plural? ) a sosit timpul… V-am promis acum ceva vreme niste piese mai dure si iata ca astazi avem ceva care nu e pentru cei slabi de inima (a se citi EURODANCERI). Trageti obloanele, ascundeti femeile si copiii, rugati-va in genunchi catre rasarit, pentru ca urmeaza una dintre trupele mele de suflet: SIX FEET UNDER. Am ascultat primul lor album in 1995 pe o caseta inregistrata de colegul meu de generala de-atunci Cristi Aron, caruia ii datorez convertirea mea la muzica rock (da, recunosc, ascultasem si Eurodance). Mi-a placut la nebunie: aveau o chitara super (doar era chitaristul de la Obituary atunci), o voce extrema (Chris Barnes, solistul de la Cannibal Corpse), si un ritm care te prindea imediat. Stilul acesta a continuat si pe albumul “Warpath” (1997), dar dupa plecarea chitaristului Allen West, trupa a schimbat usor directia. Oricum, imi plac la nebunie primele 3 albume ale lor, dar si cele 3 “Graveyard Classics” (albume cu cover-uri). Piesa se numeste “4:20”, dureaza 4 minute si 20, si a fost inregistrata pe 20 aprilie 1997, la ora 4:20. Iron Maiden (Fecioara de Fier): 1. Instrument de tortura medieval asemanator unui sarcofag cu tepi pe interior. 2. Zeii rockului, legende vii ale heavy metalului, cu numeroase albume de succes care au influentat profund muzica rock contemporana. Va invit sa ascultati una dintre numeroasele melodii extraordinare (au foarte multe si m-am decis greu). PS Tipul din imagine se numeste Eddy si este mascota trupei. Apare pe toate copertile albumelor.

TIAMAT — Whatever That Hurts
Bine v-am regasit! Saptamana aceasta vom face o trecere prin anii ’90 (stiti voi, aia cu Sandy Belle, casete VIDEO, suc la dozator Fresco, mineriade s.a.m.d) cu o trupa senzationala, de fapt, un album SENZATIONAL: “Wildhoney” by Tiamat (1994). Este un album care a stat pe primele locuri in topurile Heavy Metal Magazine (ah, ce vremuri) fooaaarte mult timp. Albumul are o atmosfera aparte si este conceput ca un intreg, trecerile intre melodii se fac insesizabil sau uneori prin tot felul de sunete ciudate (in sensul bun). “Wildhoney” este un hotar in evolutia trupei Tiamat (numele trupei vine din mitologia babiloniana, Tiamat fiind un monstru ce intruchipeaza haosul), de la acest album incolo, trupa va scoate albume atmosferice, lasand in urma genul Death metal. Acestea fiind spuse, va urez vizionare/auditie placuta. Pe curand.

GunsN’Roses — Sweeet Child O’Mine
Rock on! Din strafundurile Tartarului, prin focurile Geehenei, stapanul Lumii de Dincolo – His Dark Majesty, Lord Hades… va prezinta spre hauditie hurmatoarul slagar spre placerea publicului hascultatoriu: GunsN’Roses – “Sweeet Child O’Mine”. Cine sunt GNR? Sunt acei copii nebuni ai rockului de la sfarsitul anilor ’80 si inceputul anilor ’90, despre care subsemnatul citea in revista “Salut” ascultand casetele lor piratate (ca asa era pe-atunci 😉 ). Cateva repere: AXL in tricoul cu Isus si cu bandana, tigari in coltul gurii, Slash cu paru-n ochi si jobenul inconfundabil, concerte intrerupte din te miri ce, camere de hotel devastate, cocaina, cereri de casatorie cu pistolul la tampla, sex, droguri si rock’n’roll… but ’nuff said… Cam soft, dar asta e asa, pentru inceput… Avem si melodii cu grohaieli mai incolo pentru copiii cuminti (patience, my children).
