I used to be very good friends with this song (and this live version in particular) a long time ago. It made me feel like I could do anything.

Dance in the rain. Smile when I feel like crying. Ice skate in the middle of the night. Pretend I’m someone else just for the fun of it.

In the past years it has been just an acquaintance of mine. I cannot really handle it anymore. Some days, like today, it gets by.

Not all that is lost must be forgotten.

In the end… …don’t collect things. Or people. Or regrets. Collect memories. Good and defining ones. Collect songs that keep these memories alive.  And hope from the bottom of your heart you’ll never lose them.
